Phil Hodges

Phil joined the Royal Navy after graduating as a Mechanical Engineer, qualified as a nuclear watchkeeping supervisor and operated PWR reactors onboard UK submarines. He also worked in the Defence Engineering and Support Organisation, within the Nuclear Project Team, and Ministry of Defence Head Office before joining AFRY (formally Pöyry).

Phil Hodges is the AFRY Nuclear UK Business Unit Head and is responsible for AFRY’s UK based technical and engineering offer, which covers Nuclear and Thermal & Renewables.  He also leads AFRY’s business development activities in the SMR/AMR market.

As well as being passionate about the positive contribution nuclear can make to the global climate challenge, in particular through SMR/AMR technology, he enjoys spending time with his young family and is a fanatical supporter of Southampton Football Club.
